BTSA sponsors a trap shoot for members, member guests and family members (in compliance with the individual membership types) on the third Sunday of each Month (March through October) from noon to 4 pm, weather permitting.  Members wishing to participate need to use the “contact us” button on this website to reserve a spot for themselves and friends and family at least two days in advance to ensure club preparations will support the size of the group.  Up to 30 firers can be accommodated per shoot, so book early.  In accordance with the BTSA Gun Safety Rules, Amendment 3, Trap Range, shells allowed for use on the trap range are low brass target shells with 7 ½ or 8 shot size, with a maximum velocity of 1200 feet per second, and designed for use in your shotgun.  Shooters are required to bring a functioning and safe shotgun, two boxes of shells, and pay $5 per trap round.  Eye and hearing protection is required.  In consideration of the $5 per round fee, the club provides the trap, clay birds, a Range Safety Officer, score keeper, and safety briefing to ensure a safe and fun outing.  Members new to trap shooting may request a training session beginning on half hour just prior to the start of the trap shoot.
